FUNERAL CEREMONY

Many people are happy to have a conventional minister-led church service, with the familiar traditions. However, two thirds of the people in this country are not religious and are not church goers. It can be unsettling to hear religious and traditional bible readings at the funeral of someone that had no actual belief in a religion and did not go to church.

I work with Funeral Directors in Essex and East London to create a memorable ceremony to celebrate the life of the person who has died. I will help you and your family devise a truly personal ceremony that exactly meets your wishes and leaves you with good memories especially at a difficult and painful time.

In the comfort of your own home we can gather memories and tributes from family and friends, creating a unique ceremony of the life of the person you have lost, matching values and beliefs.

It is not easy to write a Eulogy of the person that has died and then to stand infront of your family and friends to read that Eulogy. I will help you to make this happen and if you would prefer, I will create and read the Eulogy with sincerity and passion having learned all I can about the person in our meetings.

I will help you to choose music, poems, prayers, hymns and readings that were once favourites and further demonstrates beliefs and personality.

I wanted to sincerely thank you for the reading at my mothers funeral which I found to be very fitting and appropriate. My mother was not religious and would have been pleased with the service. Many people later told me that there were may aspects of my mum?s life they had not known about and enjoyed learning more about her.

NAMING CEREMONY

The service of naming is an act of thanksgiving for the young life and an opportunity for each person attending the ceremony to dedicate themselves to his/her wellbeing and as a celebration of new life.

I will help you to create a truly personal naming ceremony for infants and adults. It is never too late to have a naming ceremony, only you know when the time is right to have a your name blessed.

The ceremony can be held in the preferred location, surrounded by family and friends to support the person being named in life going forward.

The ceremony will include the parents, grandparents, supporting adults. Each person will be responsible for making promises to support and help with life's challenges.

Flowers are used to indicate symbols of purity and grace; earths purest gems as emblems of beauty which is desired in the hearts of all.

In addition to the parental naming a spirit name can be given, a name inspired by those in the spirit world which has a meaning for the child, something which may inspire him/her in times when he/she feels the need for inner strength and guidance.

Certificates are given to the person being named, the parents, supporting adults and the grandparents which will be signed by each person as witnesses to the naming ceremony and acceptance of promises made.

Music, hymn or song played during the cermony will create a desired ambience.

WEDDING BLESSING CEREMONY

Wedding blessing for Married, Non-Married and Same Sex unions. Traditionally, men and women have entered into the sacred bonds of marriage to pledge their allegiance to each other in the presence of Spirit and in the name of God. The meeting to witness the commitment of two people, a blessing of love and the helpful companionship of friends.

Marriage is an institution in the law of the land and is desirable for the happiness and welfare of mankind. It has been made honourable by the faithful keeping of good men and women of all ages. Marriage involves the most tender and lasting ties that can unite them in this life and, having become so sure of their love, they commit themselves to each other.

Love survives death and the same love unites the world so that those who love each other may be together through to eternity. Therefore the union is even more special in that we recognise that it is made on earth and may be fulfilled in eternal life together.

I will create a unique ceremony that meets your desires to make your day as special as the two hearts that are joining as one, in the location of your choice.
